The amount is not yet known. The tariff structure for psychological psychotherapy was submitted to the Federal Council for approval on 18 December 2025 by the profession's associations, H+ and the insurer organisations. The structure defines the positions — the tariff level (the franc value) is negotiated separately and has not been announced. Entry into force is targeted for 1 January 2027.
Until then, the provisional rate of CHF 2.58/min (CHF 154.80/hour) set by the Federal Council continues to apply — see our canton-by-canton overview.

1 January 2027 (target)
Targeted entry into force of the definitive tariff, replacing the provisional rate.
While waiting for the definitive amount, estimate your annual LAMal revenue under three illustrative scenarios.
Cautious scenario (−5%)
2.45 CHF/min · 147.06 CHF/h
CHF 107'844 / year
Status quo (provisional rate kept)
2.58 CHF/min · 154.80 CHF/h
CHF 113'520 / year
Favourable scenario (+10%)
2.84 CHF/min · 170.28 CHF/h
CHF 124'872 / year
Illustrative scenarios only — the definitive amount is still being negotiated. Gross LAMal revenue before charges, based on billable session time (CHF 2.58/min provisional rate as reference).
Who negotiates the definitive tariff?
The professional associations (FSP, ASP, SBAP), H+ for institutions, and the insurer organisations. The Federal Council approves the structure; the tariff level is set by convention (or, failing agreement, by the authorities).
Does this affect Tarif 582 (accident/disability/military)?
No — Tarif 582 follows its own CTM convention (fixed amounts of CHF 38.70 per 15 minutes). See our PsyTarif 581/582 guide.
